Benchmaster is the god of church. There is a god who is worshipped in churches, but there is also a god of church. That god's name is Benchmaster. Benchmaster worships the worshippers. He welcomes them and gives them the gifts of community and connection, ritual and connection with the living and the dead, that which came before and that which will come again. He also sometimes gives them coffee and donuts.

Sometimes worshippers get confused and worship Benchmaster instead of the church's god, which is usually not a problem.
